Every year, we empower thousands of adults and children to move from fear and abuse to safety and stability, transforming lives through a range of comprehensive services and advocacy.
LEGAL MOMENTUM
Legal Momentum is a national nonprofit organization that leads action for the legal rights of women. Our targeted litigation, education, policy advocacy, and research help to shape the laws and policies that affect gender equality and ensure that they are properly implemented and enforced. Successful initiatives include judicial education programs on the realities of sexual assault and domestic violence; successful advocacy for the Violence Against Women Act; and representing women who have been subjected to workplace discrimination with precedent-setting litigation.

Since 1990, our dedicated staff has worked tirelessly to amplify the voices of individuals and communities experiencing poverty, and to provide the highest quality free legal services to those who need an attorney. Over the years, as the needs of our communities have changed, we have responded. Her Justice stands with women living in poverty in New York City by recruiting and mentoring volunteer lawyers to provide free legal help to address individual and systemic legal barriers.
NYC MAYOR’S OFFICE TO END DOMESTIC AND GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE
The Mayor's Office to End Domestic and Gender-Based Violence (ENDGBV) develops policies and programs, provides training and prevention education, conducts research and evaluations, performs community outreach, and operates the New York City Family Justice Centers. We collaborate with City agencies and community stakeholders to ensure access to inclusive services for survivors of domestic and gender-based violence (GBV). GBV can include intimate partner and family violence, elder abuse, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking.

Legal Services NYC was founded in 1968 as part of the War on Poverty. What started as a loose confederation of neighborhood-based legal services programs has grown into the nation's largest civil legal services provider. Our citywide force of over 500 staff helps more than 110,000 low-income New Yorkers annually.

Domestic Violence Project - Urban Justice Center
The mission of the Domestic Violence Project is to help survivors of domestic violence and their children live free of violence and abuse. We consider domestic violence in any type of intimate relationship, regardless of gender or sexual identity, to be a human rights violation.
